Going Food Shopping? Buy Shop Rite and ACME Gift Cards from MTV before you go and use them like cash. MTV receives 5% of the gift card purchase and gift cards can be donated to Family Promise, Corinthian Cupboard or use them for yourself! Gift Cards are available for purchase between services.
Sunday School needs volunteers for a substitute teacher list to ensure we have enough teachers for each Sunday throughout the year. We also need shepherds who will sit in classroom when there is only one adult to teach the class. Please see Wayne Histand if you can help or if you have any questions. Thank You!
Emergency Kits The Eve Circle is undertaking a project to develop and maintain a well stocked Emergency Kit for the Church. We plan to include basic first aid supplies and would like to include blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, and thermometers (ear type). This could be a substantial financial issue at the start of the project. Donations would be greatly appreciated. Checks should be made out to Eve Circle and can be mailed to the Church, placed in the offering plates or given to Lynn Heiss or Alice Histand. We thank you for your anticipated support.
New Procedure for Altar Flower Requests! Flower requests will now be made in the office on the Flower Chart. Please fill out a request form and place the form and your payment in the designated envelope. Requests will be collected each week. If your request and payment are not received by the date requested, your flower message will not be listed in the bulletin. Thank you!
Ash Wednesday Services will be on February 22nd at 7:00 pm.
Annual Ash Wednesday Soup Supper is on February 22 at 6:00 pm. Sign up sheets for soup and bread will be on the back windowsill.
Our next scheduled week to host will be Easter Week April 1st to April 8th. If you have never been involved with hosting before and would like to volunteer, please see or call Jan or Janet Fuhrer 856-848-9986.
Women’s Community Bible Study which was begun by Paula Aaronson over 20 years ago, still meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from September until May to study God’s Word. We are open to the community and have women from several different churches attend. Our current teacher is Rev. Gene Wilkins, our former Assistant Pastor and founder of Living Bread Ministries in Wenonah. Pastor Gene brings with him many years of experience and a remarkable understanding of the Scriptures. Please plan to join with us on Tuesday, January 24th downstairs in the Pairs and Spares Classroom (Fellowship Room). We begin gathering at 9:30 am, with study from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Mantua UMC MTV Team is looking for both guys and gals 7th grade & up to help at both services with the projector and camera.
